The costs of the electronic benefits depend on the number of employees and the total value of the credits provided. Please read more below!

The costs of the electronic benefits stored in each employee’s personal Smartum account depend on the number of employees and the total value of the credits provided. The price includes an administration fee (€25) and account management fee (percentage). VAT 24 % will be added to the ancillary costs mentioned above.

Smartum Exercise benefit and Smartum Exercise and Culture benefit

For Smartum Exercise and Exercise and Culture benefits, the employer will pay the costs of the electronic benefits stored in an employee’s personal Smartum account and an additional 5% (+ VAT 24% of the value of the benefits stored.

The benefits are valid for 18 months from the time they are stored. Any benefits left unused after the 18 months are returned to the employer’s Smartum account for redistribution to the employees. Benefits returned to the employer’s Smartum account can be used until the end of the following calendar year. It is not possible to receive cashback for benefits in an employer’s Smartum account.

Smartum Lunch benefit

For the Smartum Lunch benefit, the employer will pay the costs of the electronic benefits stored in an employee’s personal Smartum account and an additional 1.5% (+ VAT 24%) of the value of the benefits stored.

The benefits are valid for 18 months from the time they are stored. Any unused lunch benefit will not be returned to the employer’s Smartum account. In 2022, employees can use SmartumPay mobile application to pay for a meal worth €7.15 - €11.30. If the meal costs less than €7.15, a minimum amount of €7.15 will be charged from the Smartum account.

If the balance on the account is less than €7.15, the employee cannot use the card or SmartumPay mobile application to pay for a meal. Once more balance (saldo) is stored on the account, the remaining benefit (below €7.15) can also be used.

Smartum Commute benefit

For the Smartum Commute benefit, the employer will pay the costs of the electronic benefits stored in an employee’s personal Smartum account and an additional 5% (+ VAT 24%) of the value of the benefits stored. Payments with the Smartum Commute benefit are made with SmartumPay mobile application by showing the QR code on a mobile phone screen.

The benefits are valid for 18 months from the time they are stored. Any benefits left unused after the 18 months are returned to the employer’s Smartum account for redistribution to their employees. Benefits returned to the employer’s Smartum account can be used until the end of the following calendar year. It is not possible to receive cashback for benefits in an employer’s Smartum account.

Smartum Massage benefit

For the Smartum Massage benefit, the employer will pay the costs of the electronic benefits stored in an employee’s personal Smartum account and an additional 5% (+ VAT 24%) of the value of the benefits stored. Payments with the Smartum Massage benefit are made with SmartumPay mobile application.

The benefits are valid for 18 months from the time they are stored. Any benefits left unused after the 18 months are returned to the employer’s Smartum account for redistribution to their employees.

Benefits returned to the employer’s Smartum account can be used until the end of the following calendar year. It is not possible to receive cashback for benefits in an employer’s Smartum account.


SmartumPlus: What are the costs of ordering electronic Smartum benefits?

If your company uses SmartumPlus benefits, you only pay for the ordered benefits. The costs are formed by monthly usage per beneficiary.
